Forks TEEN IDOL Talent Contest Results!
On Tues., Jan. 20th, we held our Annual Talent & Comedy Night, but this year we searched for our first "Jr. High Forks Teen Idol", complete with judges 'Simon' (Mr. Walt), 'Randy' (Mr. Pete), and 'Paula' (Ms. Glady).
Performances were given by:
Alex W., Tiffany, Chris & Zach - A Skit
Tommy & Antonio - A Skit
Lauren K. - sang The One Feather Tail of Gertrude McFuzz
Michael - sang Time of Your Life
Gavin & Roberto - A Skit
Alyssa - sang East to West
Jackie & Lauren C. - sang Love Story
Brianna, Lily, Alyssa & Lauren C. - performed Banana Phone
Alex. W. - performed a dance to Take Me Away
Michael - performed a dance to Cotton-Eyed Joe (many joined in on this - we just couldn't sit still!)
After a night of song, dance and comedy... the judges and audience unanimously declared the first "Jr. High Forks Talent Idol" to be..... Lauren K.! She heard them say: "Laruen, You're Going to Hollywood!"
First Place: 50 Bible Dollars and $10 cash presented at Pinebrook.. Congratulations, Lauren!
Second Place went to Michael for her outstanding dance performance to Cotton-Eyed Joe.
Third Place was a tie between Jackie, Brianna, Alyssa, Lauren & Lily's rendition of Banana Phone and Alyssa's solo performance of East to West.
CONGRATULATIONS TO THE WINNERS AND THANK YOU TO ALL THE PARTICIPANTS WHO MADE IT A GREAT EVENING OF FUN AND LAUGHTER!! (Watch for some pictures to be posted soon.... Don't know if we can get the video clips on here or not, but will try!)
