Get ready for a really fun night this Tuesday! Not only will we be making full-sized Christmas wreaths to take home and hang on our doors, but we will also have a very special guest joining us for the evening! You will get to meet Ruben Rojas, he is the 13-year old son of our missionaries, Onesimo and Elodia, who have lived and served in the jungle village of Zapoco, in Bolivia, South America. Several teams from the Forks church have gone to Zapoco since 1999 to build adobe homes for the Ayore Indians and hold Vacation Bible School activities with the children. Ms. Glady had gone several times and can tell you some really funny stories about the children and her trips.
Ruben only speaks a few words of English, (the way most of us only know a few words of Spanish). Kendall will be coming to help translate for us so that you can talk with Ruben. Please make a special effort to communicate with him and make him feel very comfortable being with us.
Try to learn a few phrases in Spanish to say to him: Hola (Ola) = Hello Como estas? = How are you? Me (may) llama (yama) es ______ = My name is ____

Nov. 15 Emily Crikelair Spaghetti Dinner
We are proud of the Jr. High youth who showed up to help set up, serve and clean up after the Spaghetti Dinner Fundraiser for Emily Crikelair. THANK YOU Lauren K., Lauren C., Alex W., Jackie, Sarah, Alyssa and Tommy... especially after being up all night at the Sports Extravangza! And thank you, Elizabeth for helping to clean up. You were each shining examples of serving the Lord; and the Sr. High leaders and youth really appreciate you being there to help them out. It was a packed crowd and you helped to serve 350+ people. The Bake Sale table Sold Out and all together we raised almost $6,000 for the Crikelair family.
Check out the pictures from the Spaghetti Dinner on our Blog and they will be posted on the church website shortly. http://www.forkschurch.org/

Nov. 14-15 Overnight Sports Extravaganza Was FUN!!
Hey Kids... Check out the slideshow of pictures from our Overnight Sports Extraganza at the U.S. Traning Center in Downingtown. It was a blast to see all of you have so much fun and a challenge for the leaders to stay awake from Midnight to 6AM...(it really wasn't so hard...honest....ZZZZZZZ)! Weren't the unlimited hot dogs, soda, candy and chips, GREAT??!! Good thing no one was keeping track of how many some of us ate!!
It was impressive to watch Tommy play football almost the whole night! He has energy to BURN! If he just could have figured out how to pass some of it to others, Ms. Glady sure could have used some! The moon bounce thingy and the Obstacle Course Bounce were a big hit!!
Weren't the Crazy Olympics fun? The noodle javelin toss, the marshmellow air guns, the big yarn ball shotput (oops, don't know how to even spell it!) Maybe we can make some of those things and have our own Crazy Olympics!

November 9th Potato Bar Was A Success!!
Our First solo Potato Bar was a huge success! Well, maybe a small timing problem with the first batch of potatoes that weren't cooked by the time the first worship service was over... How were we supposed to know that the pilot on the oven went out???
We baked and served 2 cases of potatoes (approx. 160), and earned $540.00 towards our Pinebrook Retreat in February! Way to go kids!!
Thank you to the youth who came to help set up, serve and clean up after the potato bar: Lauren K., Alex W., Alyssa, Sarah, Jackie, Elizabeth, Tommy, and Lauren C. Special thanks to Mr. Jim for donating the potatoes, and to Dylan and Walter (Sr. High) who hosted tables.
