FUN Time at Harvest Party!!!

Hey Kids... What a great time we had at our Harvest Party, except for poor Michael who cut her hand carving her pumpkin and had to be taken to the E.R. The doctor glued her cut shut instead of using stitches. Michael thanks you for praying for her and she is doing fine!
Check out the pictures from the party! Sorry I missed the apple on the string contest! It looked like great fun!
Congrats to the winners of the Guess-the-Weight-of-the-Pumpkins contest! Winners were: Pumpkin A. Lauren @ 11lbs. 4oz.; B. Tommy R @ 13lbs. 2oz.; C. Alyssa @ 13lbs; D. Michael @ 11lbs. 12oz.; E. Lily @ 11lbs. 9oz.; and F. Paul @ 12lbs. 2oz. They won the pumpkin and a package of candy. They will also each get $5 Bible dollars towards the Christmas Shopp!

A special thank you to Lauren's mom for bringing lasagna, to Ms. Shelly for the salad and garlic bread, and to Ms. Glady for cake, pumpkin bread and pumpkin cheesecake bars. Also, Kathy D. for bringing cakes and cider as a special thank you to the team that went to work at her home during our Mission Week Lock-In.

Tuesday, October 27 - Fall Festival Night

Hey Kids... You don't want to miss out on the special activities we have planned for Tuesday night's Fall Festival (Oct. 27). No, I'm NOT going to tell you what they are. You just have to come and find out for yourself!! You'll be GLAD you did!! The Festival activities will last until 8:00 PM, so let your parents know so they don't show up at 7:30 and take you away from the fun early!

ALSO: Bring your permission slips and money for the All-Night Bowling. (see the next article).

All-Night Bowling, Nov. 13-14

The All-Night Bowling event at The Bowling Palace in Downingtown, sponsored by Chester County Christian Endeavor, begins Friday night, Nov. 13 at Midnight and goes til 6:00 a.m. Saturday morning! Last year we had a BLAST! It's all the games you want to bowl, all the pizza you can eat, prizes, devotions, and FUN!!

WE NEED TO KNOW BY SUNDAY, OCT. 25 IF YOU ARE COMING! You can bring your permission slips and $10.00 to our Fall Festival meeting Tuesday night (Oct. 27). If you do not have the $10, please do not let that stop you from coming. Talk to Ms. Glady and she will let you earn it (pay it later) in Bible dollars and/or helping out on Tuesday nights. Tickets need to be ordered by Monday, Oct. 26th, or the cost goes up an extra $5 per ticket.

You may bring your siblings or friends (who are in grades 6-12), but they must pay the full cost of $25 if ordered with your ticket, or $30 at the door.

We will meet at the church at 11:30 PM and we will all ride together to the bowling alley in Clifford (our big red bus), driven by Ms. Glady.
=)

You can RSVP to Ms. Glady by calling or texting her. You should have received an Email 10/21, to which you can also send your reply.

POTATO BAR - DATE CHANGE!!

Our Potato Bar is on the schedule for November 1st, but it is being changed to Sunday, November 8th. This is our fundraiser to raise money to buy Christmas gifts and food for a needy family that we will 'adopt' and for our activities for the remainder of the year. We would like 100% participation if at all possible.

You should be at the church by 9:00 AM to help set up. You can go to Sunday School then come back to help prepare the potatoes, etc. We will be serving them immediately following the worship service. There will be a sign up flyer handed out at Tuesday's meeting (Oct. 27), which will give you all the details. We also would like each youth to sign up to bring one of the following items for our potatoes: container of sour cream, jar of salsa, bag of shredded cheese, jar of bacon bits.

Lock-In Was GREAT!

The overnight Lock-In was a lot fun! Friday night we had a 'Get-2-Know-You' time, then we watched the movie, "Imagine That" with Eddie Murphy, and then played Sardines. Saturday we were disappointed with all the rain and had to cancel going to the Corn Maze... but... we had fun with indoor hockey, board games and team pictionary. Keep checking back... the pictures from the Lock-In will be uploaded very soon!
